WHAT IS AN EAP?

"Employee Assistance Programs" or EAPs, arrange for counselling services to be provided to employees and usually also family members at no cost to the employee.

Other organizations, such as professional associations, may also arrange similar programs for their members and families.

Anne and Bob provide services through the EAPs that they have selected to work with, and those services are confidential from the employer or association. The only exception is if an employee actively signs a statement allowing for the sharing of information with your employer.
